Baba Hira Hospital founded in 2011 near Nanaksar Jagraon. In village Kaunke Kalan, a man stabbed a cow with dagger. The wound was very deep. The injured cow was roaming around the village for three days. Worms in her wound could be clearly seen. After seeing her pitiable condition, I contacted many social organizations but none of them came forward for her help/treatment. Then I brought that cow home although her wounds were getting better/healing, but I was concerned about other injured strayed animals also. Many cows and other animals/beasts were suffering from such painful wounds. I came to know that there was not a single hospital for these strayed animals in all over Punjab. Many animals die due to/with these painful wounds.
When no one was ready to help them, my spirit questioned me, “Kulwinder Singh, if you would not share their pain then who will? “ As we know animals cannot express their pain they tolerate I decided to help and with God’s grace, I took initiative for the treatment of injured cows at my home. Two years passed in serving them at home. One day, with God’s grace, Bhai Saroop Singh from Kaunke Kalan came to me and offered me the donation of land for the treatment of injured cows. He donated land near Nanaksar Jagraon. Baba Hira Hospital was established on 13 June 2013 on this donated land.
This hospital consist of a team of 52 members who take care of everything. Many animals are being treated in this hospital. Baba Hira Singh ji was a monk. He spent all his life in treatment of cows and worshiping and reciting spiritual hymns. Baba Hira Hospital is always open for serving injured animals. You also must share their pain as it will give you inner peace. The last wish of my life is that I keep on serving of these helpless animals till my last breath.
This is desire of all the members of this organization to make a well known/renowned hospital for these animals. This hospital can be established with your help only,
With regards,Rescuing and providing medical care to injured cows and other animals. Providing home to animals who are permanently disabled from any accident, blind or need long term medical care.
